Lender Accountability

Throughout the short sale process, Short Sale Nation members communicate with bank representatives. Each member is asked to give feedback on their overall experience with their bank. Short Sale Nation will evaluate member's responses and determine a customer care rating of 1 - 5 (5 being best). This keeps the lenders honest and supports better business practices. Feedback on some of the member's experiences is documented below:

Washington Mutual    Customer Care Rating 3               "It took about 6 months to get the approval done. I had to resend the documents several times. They seemed to care whether I lost my house to foreclosure, but their process was so slow, I almost lost my buyer. In the end, I finally got an approval letter and they didn't come after me for the deficiency."

Bank of America    Customer Care Rating 2               "Regardless what price my house was listed at, their valuation came in higher. I tried to explain to them that NO ONE was going to pay the price they said the house was worth. But they just couldn't work outside their 'formula'. It all came down to the appraiser who came out and put a 'value stamp' on the house."
